Akshar Centre for hearing impaired children is now at the happy stage , after 31 years, when the Alumni is all grown up and holding their own in the world. Some students have become architects, some mechanical engineers, some test analysts in software companies, others executives in banks and so on. The horizon changes when intervention is provided at the right time. At Akshar we believe in the adage, ‘Give us opportunities and we will achieve!’

April 1, 2022 Priksha Pe Charcha, P.M Narendra Modi interacted live with students, teachers, trainees & non teaching staff. The event was watched on a big screen.

The 25^th Sports Day of Akshar Trust was celebrated at Akshar at 8:00 am on March 03, 2023. Shri. A.B. Gor, IAS, Collector & DM Vadodara was the Chief Guest and Ms. Urvi Parekh, H.R Head – Paul Mason Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. was the Guest of Honour. This was the first time that the Sports Day was held at Akshar. The reason was that the playground supported by many well-wishers was ready. Among the donors are United Way of Baroda, GACL, DCB Bank, Mr. & Mrs. Jagdeep Budhiraja, Mr. & Mrs. Girish Mehta and Ms. Amy Greene.

On March 13, 2023, 8 Students of Nalanda International School Vadodara, started their Outreach at Akshar

On March 25, 2023, an NGO Fair was organized by MSU University Vadodara, Faulty of Social work. A Stall was set up by Akshar. Ms. P. Suthar and Mr. P. Lal with three interns, represented Akshar.

Association of People with Disability(APD), Bengaluru, Sumandeep Vidhyapeeth , Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Director And Officer In Charge, Indian Sign Language Research And Training Centre, DEPWD, Ministry Of Social Justice And Empowerment, Govt. Of India and Akshar Trust collaborated for the Distribution of free Hearing Aids with moulds to the students of Akshar Trust.

The event was held on December 24, 2022 at 10 am. at Akshar Trust, Sherki.

Mr. Chaitanya Desai, MLA, Akota, Vidhan Sabha Vadodara presided over the event. Mr. Jal Patel, Chairperson, Mr. Rajesh Parikh, Trustee and Ms. Nisha Grover, Managing Trustee, Akshar Trust, were present.

Parents were given detailed information on the use, maintenance and care of the hearing aids.

Akshar Trust, Centre for Hearing Impaired Children, celebrated International Yoga Day on 21-06-2023 at the Akshar Playground.

The 35th Foundation Day of Akshar Trust was celebrated on 18th July, 2023 at the Centre. The Chairperson ,Mr. Jal Patel , Trustee, Ms. Ishita Verma, Managing Trustee, Ms. Nisha Grover , Ms. Monali Dhavaskar, Country Head Business Support, Paul Mason Consulting India Pvt. Ltd along with Mr. Rajesh Gupta, were present. Many of the alumni of Akshar Trust also attended. The theme was ‘Go Green’and the students presented a dance and a skit on the environment. The teacher trainees also did a performance based on the theme. Alumni, Dhaval Patel spoke on the occasion.

As part of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’( National Cleanliness Drive) students, teachers, trainees, facilities, principal, trustees & other staff of Akshar participated in cleaning the school premises and the nearby roadside. A Drawing Competition was organized on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat’ (Clean India). All the Housekeeping Staff were felicitated with flowers, gifts and Thank You cards.

The Akshar Annual Day was held on Dec, 23, 2023 at Akshar. Shri Dharmendrasinh R. Vaghela, MLA Vaghodia was invited as the Chief Guest & Ms. Pritty Patel, Chairperson United Way of Baroda, as Guest of Honour.

26th Sports Day – February 17, 2024.

The 26th Sports Day of Akshar Trust was celebrated at Baroda Football Academy Sports Complex, Gotri on February 17, 2024. Mr. Vikram Singhal, Managing Director Gulbrandsen Technologies Pvt, Ltd. was the Chief Guest. Chairperson Mr. Jal Patel, Trustees, Ms. Ishita Verma, Ms. Rati Desai & Managing Trustee Ms. Nisha Grover were also the part of the event.
